Okay, it is time to catch you up on all the fun we have been having at Clipper Street! Let's start with Mistletoe Madness, our annual Open House. We decided there is no better reason to put up our tree a bit early--we needed to get into the Christmas spirit. All our timeslots were full and it was a great day. There were make and takes, lots of door prizes and we had a chance to visit with many of our fabulous customers. A huge thank you to Gary, our Rep. from Marvy and Suzanne, our EK Success Rep. they kept the make and takes going all day long! If you were unable to join us, we hope to see you next year.

Oh and we cannot forget the fun we had at our Spooktacular Friday Night Crop...

Now this is a true Scrapbooker--Linda came dressed as a Scrapbook layout, complete with pictures from last year's crop.

So this is what happens when a blog falls behind on posting...a catch up post! We have been having a lot of fun in the Store these past few weeks and now it is time to get busy making those Christmas cards and gifts. It is so inspiring looking at all the beautiful hand made gifts that are being created.

It is hard to believe that it is already time to plan our trip to Anaheim for the CHA trade show. What does that mean for our customers--lots and lots of brand new scrapbooking goodness hitting the shelves!

Well, we are getting settled into our new space and we just wanted to say another Thank you! A thank you to all of those bringing flowers, yummy treats and best wishes to us in our new home. We have always said we have the best customers and that has been made abundantly clear again. Your excitement and support has been greatly appreciated by all of us at Clipper Street.

For those of you that have not visited our new Store, what are you waiting for? We hope you will drop by and we can show you around. There is a lot of new Stock in the Store and we have a bunch of awesome classes ready for registration. Pictures of our new store will be posted soon.

Putting the F-U-N back in Fridays!!!

Okay, so maybe no disco balls will be involved but we can still have fun! Just a reminder that we will still be holding Friday Night Crops in our new location. Our first Friday Night Crop will be held on Sept. 4th in our new Store--#105, 6360 202nd Street in Langley.

Since we are breathing new life into Clipper Street by moving to a new location, we didn't want to forget about Friday Nights. Join us each and every Friday Night (well almost each Friday) for some "me" time and crop the night away. There will be new music and lots of fun to start off your weekend.

Come and see for yourself--bring a friend or meet new friends!

Join us for our upcoming Making Memories Weekend--September 25, 26 and 27th!

The classes this year are fantastic and are all 90 minutes long. All classes are $10.00+GST and 50% of the class fees will be donated to a Cancer Research charity.

Class sign-up day will be Friday August 28th at 10am sharp. Customers may sign up for only one class and may be put on the waitlist for the other classes, should they not sell out. We will open those classes one week prior to the Event. This is in the interest of fairness, so more customers have the chance to attend these classes. There is a limit of 22 students per class.

We will also be having a MM Friday Night Crop 6p.m-Midnight on September 25th.

All the details for this Event will be available on our website and in our Weekly Email.

So just before a big move, you would think we would be emptying our shelves. But not us, we have filled them up. Just today, we unpacked tons of new My Mind's Eye Halloween (stunning by the way), Christmas and Abbey Road,etc. Recently we received a bunch of new albums, Halloween product and oodles of new punches. Be sure to come in and check out the new Embossing/Silhouette punches by Marvy--they are so cool! I would post pictures but there is just too much stuff to mention--swing by and take peek.

By now, I think many of our customers are aware we are on the move. As we near the end of August we are also getting closer to moving day. We will begin packing up on August 30th and the Store will be closed on August 31st while we move. Our goal is to be open for business on September 1st in our new location. Where is our new location? Tropical Fun!

These lovely ladies were patiently waiting (all the way down the sidewalk) this morning for our front doors to open.Today was our Tropical All Day Crop (10am-10p.m) and it was great fun. Lots of door prizes, food and fun--who needs the beach when we have sand and umbrellas in the Store? Okay, so the sand was decorative and in a pail, but we can pretend. So many more great photos to share, so stay tuned!

Thank you to all of those that attended, it was a pleasure to see each and every one of you! An extra special thank you to those that dressed up--you gave us all a chuckle and certainly added to the ambiance!

Our next All Day Crop is Sept. 19th, so please register early. Since our new classroom is smaller we will be able to accommodate fewer Crop Attendees. Since we are aware of this, we will be offering more Crops to our customers.

As we inch towards the beginning of August, we also get closer to moving into our new location. While we are not looking forward to the physical act of moving, we are excited to set up a brand new Store. The new floor is going to be installed over the next week and we are so excited to see it.

Break Open the Piggy Bank!

So we packed our bags and headed to the CHA Trade Show in Orlando. We spent five days shopping, shopping and more shopping!What does that mean for Clipper Street and our amazing customers? Lots of amazing product is on it's way to our Store and into your Scrapbook stash. Unfortunately, I left my camera bag at home--don't you hate when that happens? So the only pictures we have are from the iPhone. So you will have to take my word for it, when I tell you so many of the Manufacturers have outdone themselves.

Making Memories is certainly the tried and true of the industry. They have some wonderful product lines coming out soon and you won't be disappointed. Their Halloween and Christmas is so much fun, they also have a great Vintage Findings line coming out as well. The Pink Slice and loads of new cartridges are also on their way.

Kaiser Craft is another Clipper Street favourite! We loved it all and are so excited to share these new lines with you all. Lots of new Bling, rub ons and other goodies will be shipping soon.

Tattered Angels has released new Glimmer Mist colours and we are excited to add those to our current selection. One can never have too many colours to choose from.

I could go on and on forever, but you will just have to come into the Store to check out the new CHA releases. Most of the companies were shipping mid-late August and some were shipping September/October depending on the lines.

I must say we were looking forward to leaving the heat and humidity of Florida in July, but little did we know it is hotter here. At least the heat gives us a great excuse to stay inside and scrapbook.

Another Mom and Me has passed and fun was had by all! The theme this time was Science and the cupcake treats were a big hit too. If you have not yet attended a Mom and Me Event, you really should come and check one out. They are a great way to spend some creative and fun moments with the special youngster in your life. Each Event has it's own theme and fun is always the main objective! Ages 6 years and older welcome to attend.

A huge thank you to Megan of Megan's Cupcakes for supplying these delicious cupcakes.

Under the Sea

Today, we unpacked Under the Sea, a new product line by Reminisce. This is such a versatile line, since it covers so many themes. If you have pictures at the Water park, Sea World, Fishing, Swimming,etc,etc--then this is the product line for you! Drop by and check out the entire line for yourself.

We have been busy ordering new product and look forward to it's arrival. Expected in the Store next week is a new Tattered Angels order and the new lines by Basic Grey.

Keep your eyes peeled for an update on the construction of our new location. We will post some new pictures soon. The next few months promise to be the beginning of some exciting times at Clipper Street. A new location, loads of new product and lots of fun in store for our customers.

Does the idea of keeping the kids entertained throughout the summer overwhelm you? Check out our website for Kids Camp details. Kids Camp is a great way to give yourself a break and let your kids get creative. Another fun way to keep the kids busy, allow your kids to take their own photos throughout the summer. This gives them plenty of material and they are able to create their own scrapbooks. Mini books are another great option for children's scrapbooks.

New S.E.I has arrived and it is lots of fun. Whether you are scrapbooking your vacation or the kids in your life, you will find something you need to take home.

Also recently added to the Stamping Section, Memento Dew Drop ink pads. These are a great partner for your Copic markers or something new to add to your ink pad collection. So many great colours to choose from!

Evolution of a Space

So this is our new location, isn't it pretty? All joking aside, we will keep you updated on the progress of our new Store. It will be beautiful when all the work is done. Yes, the square footage will be slightly less than our current location. Don't worry the new Store will not be cramped and we will still have our Classroom. Less square footage equals more product on the shelves. Now that is a good equation if you ask me!

If you receive our email updates, you are aware of the upcoming changes at Clipper Street. If you are unaware of our news, then let's bring you up to speed.

As of June 15th, our Clipper Street Coquitlam location will close it's doors. While we are sad to have to say goodbye to our Coquitlam location, we hope you will continue to visit us in our Langley location. Diane Ashworth, the visionary behind the Clipper Street Scrapbook Co. has decided it is time to retire. Therefore, our Langley location will have new owners. Deanna Hutchison and Stacey Wakelin, members of the Clipper Street Langley team will be the proud owners of Langley Clipper Street.

For those of you that have visited the Langley Store, you will notice that our stock levels are a little on the low side. There have been many customers inquiring about our future as a Store. We are pleased to inform you that we have many exciting plans for the future of Clipper Street Scrapbook Co. New stock will continue to make it's way on to our shelves and we are thrilled to be heading to the Summer CHA in a couple of months. Our commitment to our amazing customers remains as strong as it did the day we opened our doors.

Our Clipper Card Loyalty program will continue to be in effect. Our new Class calendar is up on our website and we will have samples up in our Store soon. We are proud to be able to offer the best classes around and hope to see you soon.

There has been a lot of exciting news to share, so why stop there? Since we are celebrating new beginnings at Clipper Street Scrapbook Co. ,we would like to announce our moving plans. Don't worry, we aren't going far. Literally, right across the Intersection to 6360 - 202nd Street. We will still be offering our Friday Night Club Scraps, classes and other fun events. As details are finalized we will let you know our move-in date. Keep your eyes open for details of our Grand Re-Opening Celebration.

New product has been making it's way into our Langley Store and it is sure to get those creative juices flowing! Just in time for scrapbooking all of your Summer travel plans, Making Memories has released their new Travel line. It is called Great Escape and it is a ton of fun. The line features a great paper line, canvas tags, lots of metal embellishments and some great Alphas.

Our top-notch team of Instructors have been busy putting together a wonderful array of classes for our July/August Class calendar. Check out our website for pictures and descriptions of our upcoming classes.
